Heidegger's Bible Handbook: Acts: Title

Writer: Dr. DildayDr. Dilday

1. Inscription.

This Book is inscribed πράξεις τῶν ἁγίων Ἀποστόλων, the Acts, or Deeds, of the Holy Apostles. The Syriac and the Arabic retain the Greek word πράξεις/praxeis. And it is the same, whether they be called acta, things done, or actus/acts. Since Cicero also signifies whatever things one has done as acta and actus indiscriminately.
