Heidegger's Bible Handbook: Ephesians: Argument of the Epistle

Writer: Dr. DildayDr. Dilday

5. Argument of the same, information concerning the mysteries of the faith, and the duties of the Christian life.

Therefore, with the blessings of God towards the saints and believers celebrated, even their spiritual blessedness in heavenly places in Christ, he interposes most ardent prayers for the Ephesians, that God might think it fitting to illuminate them by His Spirit. So that they might be able to recognize the greatness of the Divine power upon them, of the grace in the communion of the saints, and of the hope of their calling: and, finally with gravity he exhorts them to walk worthy of the calling wherewith they were called in Christ.
