The Parts are:



I. The Lamentations of Jeremiah and the people on account of the destruction, Chapters 1-4, in which are:

1. A lamentation accommodated to the first captivity of Jeconiah: chapter 1.

2. A lamentation, on account of the destruction of Jerusalem, and the burning of the Temple: chapter 2.

3. A lamentation of Jeremiah, on account of his and the Church’s miseries: chapter 3.

4. A lamentation of the same argument, and a prediction of the destruction of the Edomites, and the liberation of the people: chapter 4.


II. A humble and supplicatory Prayer of the Church, Chapter 5.

ABOUT US

Dr. Steven Dilday holds a BA in Religion and Philosophy from Campbell University, a Master of Arts in Religion from Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia), and both a Master of Divinity and a  Ph.D. in Puritan History and Literature from Whitefield Theological Seminary.  He is also the translator of Matthew Poole's Synopsis of Biblical Interpreters and Bernardinus De Moor’s Didactico-Elenctic Theology.
