Heidegger's Bible Handbook: Proverbs: Editor

3. Who reduced the book to order? Isaiah or Solomon himself?

But who reduced the Proverbs into the order in which they are currently seen, is also questioned. Rabbi Moses Kimchi ascribes this to Isaiah. The Talmudists attribute this to Hezekiah and his council. Not without good reason does Lyra refer the portions from Proverbs 25 to the end to the men of Hezekiah as collectors, but what precedes to Solomon himself as both author and συντακτηρίῳ/arranger.
