Explanation:  What is faith? what is repentance?  It is proven that repentance pertains to the Gospel.

Thesis VIII:  The external call.

Explanation:  1.  The external call comes to the elect and reprobates.  Yet with a diverse end.  The external call belongs to the ordinary means of faith.  2.  The external call does not reach all reprobates.  3.  The arguments for the absolutely universal call of all men are refuted.  4.  The opinion of the Lutherans concerning the end of the external call, with respect to reprobates, is explained; and is refuted.  The opinion of the Orthodox is explained.  5.  The contrary arguments of the Lutherans are refuted.

Thesis IX:  The covenant of grace.

Explanation:  1.  The covenant’s efficient.  2.  Matter.  3.  Form.  4.  End.  * 5.  It is not universal, entered upon with all men and each.
